Electroporation (EL) & Iontophoresis (ION)

How it works; Electroporation and Iontophoresis for Skin Restoration

The dual Electroporation and Iontophoresis function is a highly effective method of introducing active substances into the dermis to repair and restore the skin and boost hydration in preparation for radio frequency. Using controlled electric pulses, Electroporation opens temporary micro-channels in the epidermal barrier. While Iontophoresis ‘pushes’ ionic solutions into the skin tissue and increases skin permeability. Research has shown that absorption of active ingredients by the skin is up to 20 times higher when combining these 2 technologies, compared to using electroporation on its own.
This can also be simultaneously used with a skin heating and cooling function (-20°C – +45°C) to stimulate fibroblasts and generate new collagen. Or used individually depending on the therapeutic goals. Since heating plumps the skin, relaxes facial muscles and stimulates blood circulation. While cooling contracts and tightens the skin.

Multipolar Radio Frequency (RF) energy Combined with EL & ION

How it works; Radio Frequency for Skin Regeneration

The Apollo Duet RF mode employs advanced multipolar Radio Frequency technology which emits radio frequency currents, pulsing through 4 flat electrodes to heat the water molecules in the dermis, up to a temperature of 42°C. Heating and maintaining that constant temperature for at least 5-6 minutes:

• Causes coagulation of the Collagen 1 fibers (the main protein fibers in the skin). The contraction of these fibers results in a firmer and tighter skin.
• Stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and induces generation of hyaluronic acid for smoother, plumper skin.
• Improves blood circulation, which rehydrates the outer skin layers and results in a better skin tone.
• This results in firmer, tighter, and more hydrated skin with fewer wrinkles. 

The built-in temperature sensor in the RF handle allows practitioners to safely control their patients’ skin temperature in real-time, adjust the treatment accordingly and ensure the target skin temperature is maintained for the duration of treatment. In addition, the Apollo Duet RF handle emits red light (630 nm), for an extra anti-aging effect.

The treatment itself is pain free and requires no downtime.

Combined with other technologies The Apollo Duet is combined with electroporation and iontophoresis to maximize the impact of the treatment. Electroporation creates temporary micro-channels in the skin that allow active solutions to be absorbed. Iontophoresis uses an electric current to push ionic solutions into the skin.

Treatment Plan for Radio Frequency
A series of at least 6-8 treatments:
-1st treatment we advise a full Electroporation & Iontophoresis treatment only
-2nd treatment 1 week after first treatment (EL & ION followed by RF)
-3rd and 4th treatment 2 weeks from previous treatment (EL & ION followed by RF)
-All following treatments 3 weeks from previous treatment (EL & ION followed by RF)
-A maintenance session of 1 treatment can be carried out every month
